I had a lovely afternoon, spending it at the carers’ group meeting at Weavers Croft, Stroud, for those looking after loved ones with mental health problems. People were really interested to hear about me and my business and I had so many volunteers keen to try taster sessions of hand, neck and shoulder and Indian head massages.
I was keen to introduce my services to carers, as, having experienced being a carer, I have an understanding of the stress and pressure it can cause. It is all too easy to neglect yourself in this situation, often putting yourself at the bottom of a very long list but how can you care for others, when you don’t care for yourself?
The Garden Room provides a warm, friendly and understanding environment in which to enjoy all the health benefits that massage based treatments offer, such as improved circulation, lowering blood pressure, deeper breathing, relaxing tense muscles and improving skin condition. You will receive one to one attention and a treatment tailored to your individual needs.
Massage results in a wonderful feeling of relaxation and improved wellbeing. The power of human touch cannot be under-estimated. Many of my clients drop off to sleep during their treatments, which, as any massage therapist will tell you, is the ultimate compliment!
So, all you carers out there, come and enjoy some well deserved time to yourself, you will be made very welcome.
